Tracks, movement and encounters tell us a great deal about how animals use the forest throughout the year.
A few days away from the pace of everyday life – with the forest, the seasons and time together as the starting point.

01 · THE PLACE
SARVIS is taking shape around Sarvisvaara in northern Sweden. The log cabin is a starting point – but the place is larger than the accommodation.
Forest, snow, water, wildlife, light and seasons shape the days. Sometimes that means movement and discovery. Sometimes fire, conversation or simply stillness.
The place and the season can shape what feels meaningful at that moment.
02 · THE LOG CABIN
The log cabin offers warmth, simplicity and a place to return to after a day outside.
But SARVIS is not about shutting yourself indoors. The house should make it easier to get closer to the forest, winter and everything around it.
The accommodation is part of the experience – not the whole experience.

“Less distraction. More presence.”SARVIS · TIME

03 · THE FOREST
The forest is a living space. Water, tracks, weather, birds, animals and changes in the ground are always telling a story.
We do not want to fill every moment with instructions. Understanding often begins by seeing, listening, asking and discovering for yourself.
Experience from forestry, hunting and everyday life in nature is part of the background – but the experience should still be your own.
04 · WILDLIFE
Moose, lynx and many other species move through the same forests that we humans use. SARVIS should not turn animals into an attraction. They are part of the place – and a reminder that the landscape is shared.
Tracks, movement and encounters tell us a great deal about how animals use the forest throughout the year.
Sometimes animals are seen only through tracks or a wildlife camera. What remains unseen is also part of the nature experience.
05 · THE SEASONS
Northern Sweden does not look the same all year. We therefore do not pretend that SARVIS is the same in January as it is in July. Light, temperature, water, snow, vegetation and wildlife change both the landscape and what feels natural to do.

Snow, cold, tracks, short days and a landscape where silence has plenty of room.
The light returns, the snow changes and water and forest begin moving toward a new season.
Long bright days, snow-free ground, water and time outdoors when night almost disappears.
Cooler air, colours, water and the clear transition back toward winter.
06 · TOGETHER
Families, couples, friends or people arriving on their own may need different things.
What they share is not an activity programme. It is the chance to leave the rhythm of everyday life for a while and make room for nature, conversation, movement and rest.
The experience should fit the person – not the person the programme.
Images in SARVIS also show environments and winter experiences from the region. Individual activities are not automatically included in a stay.

07 · FOR WHOM?
SARVIS can speak to families, couples, friends or people who come on their own. What matters is not the label – but what you are looking for in your time here.
For some it is about forest and winter. For others, time together, stillness, movement or curiosity about a place far from everyday routine.
You do not need a finished programme before you ask.
08 · ENQUIRY
You do not need a finished programme. An approximate period, number of people and a few words about what matters to you are enough for a first step.
